15. Oktober 2008 - A clean solution

In early September, when it became obvious, that the Swiss Government couldn't be persuaded to increase the road tax (LSVA) for the widely used Euro 3 trucks, we had to act.

As fast as possible, but not later than until the end of this year, we wanted to replace the Euro 3 trucks in our fleet, to such of the latest emission generation. Hard to do with delivery times of nine months for new vehicles. But finally we were lucky, as we discovered four brand new Volvos FH 440 at Volvo Warsaw, which were exactly among our specifications. Vehicles once ordered, but never delivered to a in the meantime bankrupt company.

With in days the tractors were purchased, driven to Switzerland, approved and after a few days only handed over to our drivers.

Today ninety percent of our trucks are in the lowest emission category and our fleet has an average age of 1.7 years only. This is the upmost we can do for the environment, the security and our customers.

19. September 2008 - SCHIPHOL AIR CARGO GOLF TOURNAMENT

Fischer road cargo bv Amsterdam was co-sponsor of the annually held "Schiphol Air Cargo golf tournament".

Not only a hole was sponsored, but all players also received a box of 3 golf balls, with the fischer road cargo logo.

Over 100 players and 50 members of the master class and clinic enjoyed a wonderful day of golf.

All competitors are working or related to Schiphol airport, like Airlines, Forwarders, SGA's, and Road feeder Services.

Theirfor is was a great opportunity to meet customers, colleagues and (potential) relations.

After the tournament and a visit to the 19th hole, a excellent dinner was served at the Dorint Hotel at Schiphol.
